Description of Problem: To test a Web-based Application Service for requirements and browser compatibility.

GVC Role: GVC provided consulting services to eMediaIT to
test their MediaDepot Application Service. Duties performed by GVC staff included the development of testing methodology, test planning, running of system tests on multiple test platforms and reporting of various defects found. Overall, GVC created a number of deliverables for this project including test plan, individual system tests, and Software Change Requests.

Project Description:

Description of Solution: GVC provided testing services for this product through a series of activities determining the project requirements. Once established, GVC wrote an overall test plan covering the testing approach and target platforms. From this point, the GVC consultants provided detailed system tests covering the system requirements. These tests were then run with the results noted, and in the event of failure of the program,
an SCR recorded. After remediation of known SCRs, the GVC consultants then reran all system tests to ensure that the bug fixes did not result in new defects. This project utilized StarTeam for SCR capture and source control, and was conducted on Mac and Intel hardware with various Operating Systems and Web Browsers. The overall project resulted in a discovery
and remediatations of numerous defects and the successful testing of the Application Service.
