Description of Problem: The company required a web based resume collection and search tool which would provide a time billing interface from a desktop application to a UNIX payroll system. The built application must also provide a file upload interface from a desktop application to the web resume tool.

Project Description: The CareerMachine / RPW Bridge Project provided an OpenStep / web solution to link the diverse TPD corporate systems together. This project included a web resume collection and search tool, a time billing interface from a desktop application to a UNIX payroll system and a file upload interface from a desktop application to the web resume tool. The project utilized a large number of technologies including OpenStep (related to WebObjects), LOF (Legacy Object Framework), Oracle, Java, HTML, and Pro*C. GVC continues to support, maintain and host portions of this project.
