Global Village Consulting Inc. Announces the Release of GVC.SiteMaker Version 3.0. http://www.gvcsitemaker.com

Vancouver, BC, April 2, 2003 -- Global Village Consulting announces the release of GVC.SiteMaker Version 3.0. GVC.SiteMaker is a global web-site creation and management application designed for K-12 and higher education. Created by university faculty, GVC.SiteMaker enables non-technical individual web-site publishers, such as faculty, students and staff to quickly and easily publish fully functional web-sites. While offering distributed content management control to individual web-site owners, GVC.SiteMaker provides webmasters and IT support with essential high-level administrative functionality that enhances its web-services and provides effective centralized control over the entire system. GVC.SiteMaker improves communication within universities, colleges and
schools between faculty, students, staff and the general public.

As an already very powerful and flexible solution, the release of GVC.SiteMaker v3.0 has taken web-site creation and management to a whole new level.  GVC.SiteMaker v3.0 provides Individual, non-technical web publishers with the ability to easily store and display structured information in their web-sites, in the form of simple database tables.  In addition to this major improvement the embedding of web-sites feature and the bulk management of access groups have also rounded out the improved capabilities
available in GVC.SiteMaker v.3.0.

Virtual database tables: This new and powerful feature enables web-site owners to create and customize their own databases, which can then be used and displayed within their web-site. Database tables can be easily created by naming multiple fields and indicating the type of data each field will contain. Once the database is created, a data access page is created making use of a  given database table. This page can be configured to allow users to perform a variety of functions; such as, adding or deleting
records, editing individual field data, perform searches, etc. The page can also be restricted as to the records available and which fields are displayed. Multiple web-pages can be created accessing the same database table, but configured to display differing information, data, or privileges. Web-site owners can also determine the interface of how data is displayed. By using a standard data access template, data is displayed in table format. However, through the creation and use of customized data access templates, data can be displayed in any format desired.

Content Embedding: This improved feature enables web-site owners to embed content from another web-sites into their own web-site.  Formerly, web-site owners were limited to embedding an entire web-site into their own web-site.  Now, with GVC.SiteMaker v.3.0, the new embedding feature provides the web-site owner with the option to select either a whole web-site, web-page or just content to be embedded within a web-site.

Access Group Management: The last version of GVC.SiteMaker allowed web-site owners to restrict or grant access to specific web-pages or files contained within a web-site to selected visitors and groups.  This feature has been improved in GVC.SiteMaker v3.0 by allowing the bulk management of access groups.

"GVC.SiteMaker v.3.0 remains the premier application in web-site development and management providing functionality not yet available in other traditional web publishing and content management systems." Says Robert Van Ginkel, Senior Manager, Marketing &
Sales.  "The inclusion of database tables within GVC.SiteMaker v3.0, places us in a new market category occupied by us alone."

GVC.SiteMaker v3.0, is the result of a very successful relationship with the University of Michigan.  Using GVC.SiteMaker extensively within the university, faculty, students and staff requested these improvements to help facilitate information sharing and
communication amongst fellow students, colleagues and the general public.  Global Village Consulting's approach has always been customer focused and its response to the University of Michigan's request was the release of GVC.SiteMaker v.3.0., which will also address the needs of k-12 and higher education globally.
