Data Architecture

GVC and its resources have significant experience in developing and consulting on strategic, conceptual and reference, health related information and data models for organisations like Health Canada, Public Health Agency of Canada, BC Ministry of Health, Canada Health Infoway, Canadian Institute for Health Information and pan-Canadian collaboration system projects like Panorama and iPHIS. GVC’s experience with the HL7 RIM and CHI EHRS Blueprint allows its resources to provide a standardized approach to relating health information concepts and attributes that will align with Canada’s emerging EHR.

Application Architecture

GVC and its resources have consulted on many small, medium and large application development and reengineering projects that support point of service, data collection, analysis and dissemination of health information. Recent successful engagements include projects like the pan-Canadian Panorama public health information system that utilized a SOA to interoperate a large number of key health information services including terminology, consent management, auditing, security and data abstraction.

System Architecture

GVC resources have provided strategic, design and implementation advice and expertise in the infrastructure and software components interoperating in large complex health environments like National Laboratory for Foodborne Zoonosis, Public Health Agency of Canada and Health Canada.

Enterprise Architecture

GVC resources also provided services for the management of large enterprise architectures, using tools like Zachman Framework and TOGAF. We have provided guidance, design and strategic solutions to organisations like Health Canada, Public Health Agency of Canada, BC Ministry of Health, BC Centre for Disease Control and Canada Health Infoway. GVC consultants have the experience in designing the processes, tools, frameworks and governance structures required to allow clients to manage their technology and non-technology infrastructures.
